The Research and Development Team of BUTTERFLY co-ordinates the equipment for Tomokazu Hariomto. They not only respond to Harimoto’s requests but also propose new materials and plywood compositions as well as shapes and sizes of the grip and the blade. They make the best use of their know-how accumulated in their previous blade development.
In excess of thirty blades have been tested by Harimoto in the last three years following the start of this project; his final decision after numerous trials was to add slight adjustments in the quest of better feeling, based on the specifications he had been using.
Now the selection after trying various specifications is his trust and confidence in his current equipment. The Harimoto Blade Project made a big step forward by the establishment of the blade specification, the essential part of the racket development.
