Tamasu Butterfly Thailand (TBT), a subsidiary of Butterfly, successfully hosted the Butterfly & SISB Open 2026, an international tournament that has gained recognition within Thailand table tennis community. Held from July 28 to August 4 at the SISB International School in Bangkok, the tournament brought together a dynamic week of high-level competition while contributing to the continued development and promotion of table tennis in Thailand.
Butterfly & SISB Open 2026 marked a notable increase in international participation, with more than 670 athletes competing in the tournament, including 93 international players from diverse countries. Participants included players representing international table tennis clubs and academies, reflecting the tournament’s growing recognition and appeal within the global table tennis community.
The event highlighted the growing popularity and cross-cultural appeal of table tennis, bringing together players from different countries to not only showcase their skills but also share their passion for the sport. This international participation contributed to a vibrant and inclusive sporting atmosphere while strengthening the tournament’s position as an emerging international table tennis event in Thailand.
This year’s tournament featured a total of 26 categories, welcoming players ranging from youth 7-year-old youth participants to senior players aged 75 and above. This wide range of age categories for players of all generations from emerging young talents to experienced veterans to compete, showcase their skills, and share their passion for table tennis.
To further enhance the overall tournament experience, a mini-game was organized, giving participants the opportunity to win prizes and enjoy activities beyond the competition itself. This addition activity created a more engaging and enjoyable atmosphere for both players and spectators, making the Butterfly & SISB Open 2026 not only a competitive table tennis event but also a memorable community experience.
